It edits the PDF, not a picture of it
Most online editors cover the old words with a white box and type on top. MythosPDF rewrites the text inside the PDF itself, so the file stays clean, searchable and selectable, with no hidden text lurking underneath.
Typography that survives the edit
Right aligned amounts stay right aligned. Centred headings stay centred. Bold stays bold, kerning stays kerned. Widths are measured with real glyph metrics, never guessed from character counts.
Longer text? The page makes room
When an edit needs another line, the lines below move down by exactly one line and tables and rules move with them. If the page overflows, a continuation page is added right after it.
Fidelity or nothing
Every output is reparsed, rerendered and compared against the original before you get it. If an edit can't be made without damaging your document, we tell you instead of quietly handing back a broken file.
Most PDF editors paint over your page. We don't.

Questions people ask
+Is MythosPDF really free?
Yes. Editing and downloading are free, with no sign up, no watermark, no trial and no page limit on the file you download.
+What does "zero mutation" mean?
It means we never modify what we don't need to modify. When you change a line, MythosPDF rewrites that text and leaves every other object in the PDF (images, vector graphics, tables, other text, fonts) exactly as it was.
+Will my fonts and layout change?
No. Your edit is set in the PDF's own font, at the same size and colour, measured with exact glyph metrics. Nothing is swapped for a lookalike font and nothing else on the page moves unless your edit needs the room.
+What if my new text is longer than the old text?
The paragraph rewraps the way the original was typeset, and only the content below moves down to make room. If the page runs out of space, the overflow continues on a new page inserted right after it.
+Where is my file stored?
A copy stays in your own browser so you can come back and keep editing. Our server keeps a working copy only while you edit and deletes it automatically. We never sell or share documents.
+Can I edit a scanned PDF?
Not yet. A scanned page is a picture of text, not text, so there's nothing to edit. PDFs exported from Word, Google Docs, Canva, payroll or billing software work great.
